Hi, I’m Katherine Betty Nickerson. I’m originally from Alabama and a true southern soul but am currently living in Northern California attending Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry (It’s basically Hogwarts for Christians. We learn to live and love like Jesus.) I’m not really sure why I started this blog besides the fact that it just felt like the next right thing. And that’s what I’m working on doing these days…one thing at a time, the next thing that feels right, listening to my heart.
Brene Brown describes courage as “telling the story of who you are with your whole heart.” And that is my desire for this blog. For my life, really. To live wholeheartedly. To be known and to be loved. To love myself and others from overflow and without fear.
Health is a passion of mine. I believe true health is spiritual, emotional and physical, and I love learning about ways to love and support my spirit, soul and body. My interest in health has come from a long (and still current) battle with chronic illness. It hasn’t been fun but it’s lead me to discover a passion of my heart and for that I am grateful.
Other tidbits about me: I love cookies (GF of course), wine, Taylor Swift, cut flowers, movie theater popcorn, red lipstick, exploring cities, living in NorCal, the color white, my Cajun roots, Costco, bulk food sections of health food stores, juice bars (b/c who has time to juice for themselves), IKEA, and ballroom dancing. Some things I don’t care for: sweet tea, cats, houses that smell like cats, discrimination, long prayers before meals, long prayers any other time of the day, mold, games of any kind, showering, and camping.
Well, there’s a little about me. I hope you’ll come along on this journey with me as I discover more of what it looks like to live brave, wholehearted and free.
